Hever Castle & Gardens is recruiting Visitor Services Assistants to join the Castle team, beginning mid-March. We are the childhood home of Anne Boleyn and are proud to offer an unforgettable experience to all our visitors. With a brand-new exhibition and regular events running throughout the year, the Castle is an exciting place to work. As a member of the Castle team, you will be responsible for assisting with the smooth running of Castle operations whilst ensuring the safety and security of the Castle and its contents. You will also have the opportunity to train as a Tour Guide, providing informative group tours in addition to your regular daily duties. Some physical work is required, which will involve lifting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
Roles at Hever Castle & Gardens are seasonal, with this year’s contract ending January 1st 2024. Our working hours vary depending on the time of year and the events we are hosting. We operate seven days a week, including weekends, occasional evenings, as well as public and school holidays, and therefore require flexibility from you. We are ideally looking for somebody to commit to 3 or 4 days per week.
Hourly pay rate, age 23 and over is £10.42 increasing to £10.67 on completion of successful probation. (Under 23’s start at £10.18 increasing to £10.43).
