Growth in the US is a key strategic ambition of TWC, to which the online experience on the US website is fundamental in supporting that plan.
This role is to lead, manage and trade the US website, ensuring a strong and comprehensive online journey for the customer which converts both new and existing customers.
Reporting directly into the Head of Trading, and working alongside the UK Digital Trading Manager, the role includes the direct line management of a trading assistant and a digital co-coordinator. To include setting daily/weekly tasks, the teams personal objectives and development plans
Trading
- Able to lead and manage the US trading team, developing, and driving excellence within the team
- Feed into the budget sales plans and revisions with insight and opportunities to support and drive US growth
- Able to analyse, interpret and present digital performance for weekly/monthly trade meetings.
- Champion and lead the day-to-day trading of the US website, ensuring that all online product launches and campaigns are delivered on time and executed well
- For each key campaign/seasonal launch, review the business product strategy and reflect that for the online customer journey, appropriately influencing where the online experience may differ slightly for US customers. Be able to present and communicate the plan accordingly.
- Identify and deliver Lessons Learnt/PIR’s for launches and campaigns. Share findings and recommendations with key stakeholders and peers for action.
- Understand the US customer and behavioural differences between the US and UK. Pro-actively be able to influence marketing and make trading decisions to drive higher customer engagement and purchase.
Leadership
- Able to represent Head of Digital Trading in key trade meetings
- Able to effectively communicate and influence senior stakeholders across the business, including Marketing, Creative, and Buying and Merchandising teams.
- Able to pro-actively problem solve and recommend solutions to Head of Trading, making decisions with confidence and pace
- Able to lead by example, within Digital Trading team, motivating yourself and others to deliver the business plan
- Constantly striving for success, always staying focussed and effective even when priorities are changing
- Previous experience in Digital Trading essential
- Highly commercial with strong numerical and analytical skills
- Good competitor knowledge and understanding
- Good knowledge of optimisation tools, Search and Merch, recommendations engines,
- Good knowledge of analytics tools, Adobe, GA, Contentsquare
