Location: Birmingham, Coventry or Cardiff. The role will require working from multiple sites, but one office will be your base depending on location.

Along with our partners we are delighted to have been selected by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to deliver the Restart employability programme in 2 Contract Packages in West Central (Black Country, Coventry, Greater Birmingham and Solihull, The Marches and Worcestershire) and across all of Wales.
As part of our Restart programme we will support participants on their journey to finding sustainable employment, enabling them to progress towards a more secure future. The Restart programme will help people who have been unemployed for between 12 and 18 months get back into work, including those whose prospects for securing employment have been impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Health and Wellbeing Trainer will design and deliver Health & Wellbeing workshops for our participants with health and mental health conditions who do require very specific support to gain employment.
You will assist in producing digital course content materials as well as facilitating specialist training such as Modern Slavery and safeguarding. In addition to providing 1-2-1 CBT sessions, you will adopt a person-centred approach and signpost participants to appropriate support. You will also support our participants and SCP with their wider mental health and wellbeing agenda by running group sessions, webinars and workshop events. Assist in producing digital materials as well as facilitating specialist training.
Key accountabilities

Deliver Cohorts of participants through wellbeing-based workshops to support them with common health, long term health, mental health – principally anxiety disorders and depression.

Maintain regular one to one appointment with participants to build a personal improvement, motivation plan to help find sustainable employment.

Work with Serco Operations Manager, Operations team and Job coaches to assess health & wellbeing needs of our customer caseload and identify interventions to help support.

Working with our social values lead to deliver Remote social values workshops around important social topics such as ED&I and mental health.

Create, deploy and oversee a clearly defined Training & Support strategy for staff on the Restart programme

Maintain an understanding of new educational and training techniques and methods

Develop and continuously improve Serco operations and services;

Lead participates services such that an excellent level of compliance with contractual requirements;

Promote health and wellbeing training across the contract
-
Establish and maintain effective internal working relationships, participating when required in cross organisational and sector projects, to ensure opportunities for integration are maximised across Employment, Skills & Enterprise contracts;
- Undertake such additional duties as may be reasonably required, commensurate with the level of responsibility within the area.
Essential technical and professional skills, knowledge, and qualifications

Proficient in the use of MS Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint & Word

Good numeracy and literacy skills

Strong organisational skills and able to work on multiple activities at the same time

Ability to work with minimum supervision and to take initiative to deliver an outcome
