We have an exciting opportunity for a Woven Buyer to join our team! This role represents a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to commercial teams and to engage colleagues across the business to land an integrated, best in class customer offer.
Your Role
You will develop and source a commercial and fashionable product offer, meeting customer & market requirements whilst delivering maximum profit. You will collaboratively work with key suppliers and with internal stakeholders alike in order to deliver sales, pricing and growth ahead of the market while helping to manage the category P&L. You will negotiate and deliver business plans as well as understand customers and implement strategies that meets their needs. You will also need to understand, track & negotiate around key commodities, and deliver cost to serve programmes with suppliers to ensure great value for our customers.
About you
- Previous experience working as a Buyer
- Strong commercial awareness and being highly numerate
- A strong understanding of customer requirements, market trends and competitors
- Experience in having a team or managing assistant buyers
- Understanding the impact of markdown on profit when reviewing markdown lists
