Teacher of Mathematics
Hours: 32.5 hours
Contract: Permanent
Salary: M1 - U3, £28,000 - £43,685 FTE Salary per annum
Required: September 2023
We wish to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Teacher of Mathematics to join our innovative Faculty of Mathematics and Numeracy. The pupil outcomes in Mathematics place the school as one of the highest performing schools in the country. The successful candidate will be an outstanding Teacher of Mathematics, able to teach high quality lessons across the age and ability range. This position would also be suitable for an outstanding NQT wishing to begin their career as part of a supportive, collaborative and forward thinking subject team.

Madeley School has an excellent reputation locally and is oversubscribed. The successful candidate will be joining a department with a long history of outstanding results. This was no different in 2022 results where 90% of students achieved a grade 4 or above and 71% a grade 5 or above. Our Mathematics Progress 8 figure of 0.69 places the department within the top 6% schools nationally. The Mathematics department are committed to continue to develop, therefore there are numerous CPD opportunities within the department including lesson visit enquiries and sharing best practise. The department also benefits from having experience teachers that have participated in a number of programs across the trust and local authority such as the Shanghai Mastery project. There may also be the opportunity for the right applicant to undertake some whole school responsibility.
