Our team in Leeds are currently recruiting a Warehouse Operative to join our team performing a variety of distribution centre activities within our Hazardous store. This is a full time permanent role, based in our recently built Distribution Centre at Logic Industrial Park, Leeds 15.
Our team provides high quality, cost effective, and efficient service to meet current and future demands and as such we are looking for someone with previous experience and qualified in packing dangerous goods by land, sea and air in accordance with; ADR, IATA and IMDG. Our tea carry out a variety of distribution centre activities related to one or more of the following processes: packing, shipping, receiving, order fulfilment, stock handling, storing, distribution and inventory support.

We are looking for someone who:
-
An individual with previous experience and qualified in packing dangerous goods by land, sea and air in accordance with; ADR, IATA and IMDG.

A team player able to apply knowledge of the organization, job, practices and procedures to be proficient in all aspects of job.

A motivated individual, able to carry out routine activities and recognizes the need for occasional alternative solutions.

Is able to work independently, with minimal supervision. Able to establish priorities and manage time to complete work.

An excellent collaborator who is able to work with other departments or teams both internal and externally.

Someone who is comfortable making decisions which may affect the department and has attention to detail as errors may result in loss of time, resources and/or customer satisfaction.
What will you be doing:
-
Fulfilling orders to meeting customer requirements and inspection/testing processes.
-
Shipping orders within time commitments and completes all documentation.
-
Communicating with lead/supervisor regarding any fulfilment issues or problems.
-
Receiving, unpacking, and inspecting incoming materials and product, and verifies against written orders. Returns defective materials.

Ensuring documentation such as packing lists, shipping labels, and other such documents are complete, accurate and processed appropriately.

Identifying and investigating and participating in opportunities to improve processes and procedures, to include various key performance metrics.

Maintaining and updating systems as required.

Other duties as assigned.
