An opportunity has arisen for passionate and driven individuals to join CNWL Children’s Services.
We are looking for individuals willing to join particularly our highly specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. We want innovative, dynamic individuals who are interested in developing their careers within a supportive and highly skilled nursing, medical and therapeutic team. Along with developing your core nursing skills, there are opportunities to develop your therapeutic skills in working closely with our skilled psychology, family therapy and occupational therapy team members.

Our Services are located across North Central and North West London with good transport links. We aim to provide comprehensive assessments, diagnosis and treatment package, for young people with mental and physical health conditions. We work collaboratively with the patients, their families and carers, and local voluntary services.
The successful post-holder will directly contribute to the positive working environment within the multi-disciplinary team. As a band 3 clinician, the post-holder will be required to account for their practice through regular supervision, appraisal and audit.

This post will offer the successful candidate a real opportunity for personal and professional development. As a Support Worker at Collingham you will use essential health care skills whilst also having the opportunity to gain experience of supporting young people in social and recreational activities as well as attending to the environment of the Unit. The job provides many rewarding learning opportunities, and input and innovation is encouraged.
Although previous experience of working with young people is not essential candidates should have an interest in working with this client group in an inpatient setting, as well as the necessary personal qualities to enable them to function effectively in what can be a challenging environment. These include high levels of commitment, resilience, positivity and personal warmth as well as excellent team work skills. If you can bring this, you will be well-supported in return.

We are keen for staff to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health In-patient teams that work closely with young people and their families to understand their problems. We treat a wide variety of psychiatric illnesses such as psychosis, mania, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Band 3 Health Care Support Worker work closely with people who use our Services, their families, friends and carers and play an important contribution in how people experience our services. Band 3 Health Care Support Workers are expected to be kind and responsive but professional and informative and contribute to the quality of the services we provide by:
- keeping the people who using our services as safe as possible by recognising the limits of the Health Care Assistant role and working closely with Registered Nurses
- contributing to the best possible clinical outcomes by using up-to-date skills and adhering to evidence based policies and procedures when implementing care plans
- ensuring the people using our services have a good experience by respecting, empowering and working in partnership with people when contributing to the implementation and evaluation of care plans.
