The role


We are looking for a Buyers Admin Assistant Apprentice to join our Leisure (Home) team within our Product division. The role reports to a Buyer/Senior Buyer, working together to deliver the best ranges for our customer, manages the administration of a given department ensuring all systems are kept up to date. The aim is to deliver a profitable customer centric range and provide day to day administrative support to the category. Alongside this, the role will require successfully completing the Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship; an 18-month programme involving various training, coaching and individual projects to develop a highly transferable set of knowledge, skills and behaviours that can be applied in all sectors to be successful within a business and support your own progression towards management responsibilities in the future.


What will you do as a Buyer’s Admin Assistant Apprentice:

  • Responsible for keeping information up to date and correct in all relevant systems and databases.

  • Maintaining the critical path.

  • Supporting Assistant Buyers with analysis of the fashion market and customer activity through competitive shops, sales and trend.

  • Supporting weekly trade meetings through best seller reports.

  • Maintenance of samples – chasing and booking in.

  • Racking up samples with care and consideration for sign offs and range reviews.

  • Ad hoc duties are also an essential daily part of the role as you are providing full administrative support to the buying team.

  • With the support of your manager, dedicate the required 6 hours a week off the job training to complete the relevant apprenticeship activities.

What experience and skills will you have?

  • Good administrative, communication and organisation skills

  • A keen interest in fashion, retail and customer first

  • Driven & motivated

  • Retail experience desirable but not essential.
