Overview
The HR Business Partner role within Corporate Markets is an exciting opportunity to partner with the business unit to develop and deliver robust people initiatives and organisational change whilst supporting the wider Link Group business with strategic HR projects.
You will work at pace and on your own initiative whilst supporting several senior stakeholders, so will have a demonstrable track record of working across the full HR agenda to inspire action and provide focused delivery using your strong project management, collaboration and organisational skills. In addition, you’ll need high levels of commercial acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to collaborate across functions and deliver through others in an ever-changing environment.
The role is northern based, so you will need to be within a commutable distance of our city centre office in Leeds. You also have stakeholders in London, so need to be willing to travel to our Gresham Street office to build and maintain relationships there.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting the develop and delivery of robust people plans across the business, drawing on experience and insight to drive sustainable and commercial impact
- Inputting into the design and shaping of development initiatives to build skills, enhance leadership capability and provide personal development opportunities for the business
- Work with the Recruitment Team to drive employer branding initiatives to enhance the overall talent acquisition process, including playing a direct role in the sourcing and assessment of suitable candidates for key roles
- Partnering with the Corporate Markets HR Team, Link Group HR Centres of Excellence and business leaders as a subject matter expert, critical partner and true HR Generalist for the development and maintenance of technical, leadership and professional skills and capabilities, employee engagement and culture, organisational change and TUPE processes, employee and employment regulations and talent management
- Managing cyclical processes, such as goal setting, performance reviews, remuneration reviews, talent assessment and development planning
- Supporting with ongoing employment policy development and employee relations activities, from disciplinaries, to compliance and employment regulations and law with support from the Shared Services Operations team
- Coaching leaders on how to drive positive organisational behaviours and embed a high-performance culture across the business which drives ongoing performance feedback and builds constancy through robust practices and tools
- Supporting and coaching colleagues within the Corporate Markets HR team as appropriate to ensure relevant understanding of business challenges for the client groups you represent
- Developing, utilising and continuously improving HR Business Partner project toolkits and process to enable the efficient and effective project management of HR activity
- Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, supporting Link Group assurance programs that deliver effective risk management and compliance practices

- Resilience, with a demonstrable ability to ‘stand your own ground’ and influence key decision-makers, challenging when necessary
- Demonstrable project management and organisational skills, with an ability to identify key milestones and dependencies in reaching these milestones
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to manage risk for the business whilst prioritising and managing multiple tasks across different locations
- High energy and enthusiasm levels with a passion for change and the ability to generate excitement around change
- A team player with strong decision-making capability, coupled with high levels of personal initiative and proactivity
- Exceptional communication skills with the emotional intelligence to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships and identify and leverage behavioural triggers to drive business outcomes
- Technical competence in all aspects of employment law and policies is imperative
- A Human Resources qualification would be great, but you may also be qualified by experience
