Job description
About Us
The King’s community is dedicated to the service of society. King’s Strategic Vision 2029 sets out our vision for the future, shaped around five priority areas: educate to inspire and improve; research to inform and innovate; serve to shape and transform; a civic university at the heart of London; and an international community that services the world. Our ambitious Education Strategy sets out the actions that we must take to transform how we teach, how and where our students learn and how we support them during their time with us.
King’s Academy is the centre for educational development dedicated to supporting all staff in enhancing the teaching and learning environment within the College. King’s Academy is currently expanding its range of activities and the role of Assessment Adviser will be an important part of this expansion.
King’s Academy is part of the School of Professional and Continuing Education (PACE). PACE both delivers teaching (King’s Academy King’s Foundations, Summer Programmes, King’s Language Centre) and works collaboratively with our nine Faculties enabling them to deliver professional and online education (KPED and King’s Online)
King’s Academy is currently expanding its team and range of activities and the role of Programme, module and assessment design lead will be key to this expansion.

This post will be offered on an indefinite contract.

Key responsibilities
  • Work closely with one faculty, as part of a small team of assessment advisers, to provide in-depth support and expertise in improving assessment and feedback practices.
  • Work closely with the College Assessment Lead and the Academic Director of King’s Academy to ensure alignment with the King’s Academy strategic priorities
  • Work with the wider King’s Academy team to contribute across the portfolio of activities, including developing resources and guidance.
The above list of responsibilities may not be exhaustive, and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks and responsibilities as may reasonably be expected within the scope and grading of the post.
