37.5 HOURS PER WEEK - 5 days per week + on call duties
Brief Description of the Role:
The Estates Department are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Energy Manager to monitor and report on energy usage and investigate potential energy and carbon saving initiatives throughout the Foundation Trust premises.
The post holder will be a key part of a team who are leading on plans to decarbonise the Trust's buildings. They will be leading on ensuring that energy meter and sub meter figures are correct and utilities budgets are managed correctly.
It is anticipated that the post holder will hold the following qualifications and skills:
Hold HNC or equivalent in a relevant technical or scientific subject
- Must be educated to a minimum of Degree / Professional qualification or working towards a degree in a relevant subject.
- Have at least 3 years experience of working in an energy management related discipline.
- Understanding of energy management within a large corporate organisation.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Experience of operations and maintenance of buildings, engineering plant, services and equipment.
- Experience of risk management.
- Knowledge and experience of Health & Safety.
- Willing to undertake training to fulfil the requirements of the post.
- Good communication and customer care skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative
