An excellent opportunity to join the University of Sheffield’s Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Centre (NAMRC) as a Manufacturing Engineer.
Working as part of an exciting team, involved in the project delivery of solutions for manufactured products, you will;
- Play a key role, providing technical support to project teams at the Nuclear AMRC.
- Provide technical advice on manufacturing methods and processes, working closely with the functional leads to deliver research and commercial projects.
- Have opportunities to interact with members and clients developing your engineering skills and knowledge to deliver world-leading manufacturing processes and technologies.
- Be part of the Nuclear AMRC contributing to the mission of improving the competitiveness of UK nuclear supply chain by delivering the highest quality, industry-relevant manufacturing research and innovation projects.
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will have significant industrial experience in a highly regulated production / manufacturing environment of high value components. You will have a suitable engineering honours degree or equivalent engineering experience. Training, support and career development is available as part of the team working environment however, you will require a sound understanding of manufacturing NPI principles and continuous improvement (CI) philosophies.
