Job Description

An excellent opportunity to join the University of Sheffield’s Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Centre (NAMRC) as a Manufacturing Engineer.
Working as part of an exciting team, involved in the project delivery of solutions for manufactured products, you will;

Play a key role, providing technical support to project teams at the Nuclear AMRC.
Provide technical advice on manufacturing methods and processes, working closely with the functional leads to deliver research and commercial projects.
Have opportunities to interact with members and clients developing your engineering skills and knowledge to deliver world-leading manufacturing processes and technologies.
Be part of the Nuclear AMRC contributing to the mission of improving the competitiveness of UK nuclear supply chain by delivering the highest quality, industry-relevant manufacturing research and innovation projects.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will have significant industrial experience in a highly regulated production / manufacturing environment of high value components. You will have a suitable engineering honours degree or equivalent engineering experience. Training, support and career development is available as part of the team working environment however, you will require a sound understanding of manufacturing NPI principles and continuous improvement (CI) philosophies.
