A good financial analyst is someone who can see the future. A great financial analyst is someone who can make the future look like they saw it.
We're not asking for a psychic or mystic, we are looking for a FP&A Analyst to join our Finance team. Someone who can help turn data into information, and information into insight. If you have the technical skills, an eye for business and able to communicate complex information in a simple way, we'd like to hear from you!
You'll be responsible for developing and implementing effective financial planning and analysis processes. You will work closely with the commercial and operational teams to provide financial insights, support decision-making and help drive profitability.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of business performance and provide recommendations for improvements
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process
- Ensure accurate reporting and analysis of key performance indicators
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth
- Support performance reviews through accurate and reliable information delivery and as part of this, assisting with commercial analysis to allow commercial decisions and new business cases to be reviewed by developing tools to improve sales and profitability forecasting and planning
- In the short term, managing rebates when needed but this is transferring to GBS very soon. Afterwards, liaison with GBS to have accurate accrual of customer rebates
- And finally maintaining/developing PowerBI reporting functionality and handling queries from the Commercial teams
You'll be a part qualified Accountant, or qualified by experience. You'll have strong analytical skills and excellent numerical abilities with commercial awareness to generate insights and drive actions. We also expect the following from you:
- Proven experience with solving complex business problems
- Critical thinking and ability to translate effectively to execution planning
- Strong financial focus and skill to drive profitable choices
- Strong system and data analytics tools and acumen to make informed decisions
- Ability to structure, analyse and communicate findings of a large amount of data in a timely manner
- Superuser in MS Office and especially Excel
