Job Description
We are looking for Assistant Systems Accountant to join our Finance team in our Waterstones office in Solihull.
Assistant Systems Accountant
In this role you would support to look after the Finance system “CODA” as well as other systems within Waterstones which have an input and/or impact for Finance.
Your responsibilities will include;
- Daily Finance reconciliation of distribution centre Blue Yonder system
- Weekly Stock and sales posting reconciliation (300 shops)
- Reconciliation of Café W Saffron system
- Banks and payments support for Lloyds CBO, BACS, Bank of Ireland
- Admin of Finance Systems in box, call logs etc
- Ad hoc requests
- Assist with testing data
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Waste and packaging data submission collecting, reconciling and presenting of data
What we are looking for:
- SQL select command
- Advanced Excel
- Finance knowledge and awareness (Knowledge of CODA Financials desirable)
- Basic accounting knowledge (accounting or Finance degree/AAT is preferable)
- Working with large sets of data
You should also:
- Ability to work on own initiative but also being part of a team; to share ideas and team working
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multi task and work to concurrent deadlines
