Label Room Operative
Based at The Fresh Produce Centre at Paddock Wood in Kent, FreshPLUS takes a different approach to service provision. Specialising in fresh produce, our customers have the freedom to choose from a flexible menu of direct or indirect services; from full receipt, storage, ripening, packing and distribution of products to indirect options such as grower audits at source, customs clearance services or marketing insight reports.
So, why work for us?
Every piece of packaged fresh produce that leaves our building has an information label attached to it, explaining vital details such as the sell by date, country of origin, product variety and the details of the farmer who has grown it for us. Of course, it is absolutely essential that every piece of this information is 100% accurate so that end consumers are aware of the product specification. In order for us to effectively do this, we have a dedicated Label Room team produce these labels for our production team, ready to apply to the produce packaging.
We are now looking for an enthusiastic Label Room Operative to join our busy team. You will be responsible for receiving label orders which would specify the precise criteria to be printed onto our customers’ label templates. Once you have checked every piece of information against a specification to ensure that it is accurate, you would then be responsible for preparing and printing the correct quantity of labels.
As attention to detail is the key factor, this position comes with an extremely high level of responsibility, and as a result, we are looking for an eagle-eyed candidate with the ability to manage the expectations of our production team, whilst demonstrating fantastic levels of customer service.
Our perfect Label Room Operative would have:
-
An excellent attention to detail, with the ability to spot anomalies amongst large amounts of data.
-
Previous experience of working within an FMCG/manufacturing environment (advantageous).
-
Good literacy and numeracy skills.
-
The ability to interact with key stakeholders, whilst managing expectations and providing a high level of customer service.
-
Experience in using all MS Office packages.
What else we can offer you:
-
A competitive salary.
-
25 days holiday per annum plus 8 bank holidays.
-
Pension scheme.
-
Company share scheme.
-
Free parking on site.
The hours you would work:
A 5 on 2 off shift pattern of 42.5 hours per week, with start times that range from 6.00am up to and including 2.00pm, with weekend working on a rota basis.
We would love to hear from you if you feel that you can offer us as much as we can offer you. Please do so by submitting your CV to our recruitment team.
