Data Quality & Governance Analyst
Location: Solihull / Hybrid (2 times a week in the office)
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + Bonus
Benefits: Bonus (between £1500 - £1700), 27 days Holiday + Public Holidays and Holiday purchase options, Pension so company will match up to 5%. At 6% however the company will automatically contribute 10%, Eligibility to join our Share saver Scheme, Training budgets.

Opportunity:
A fantastic opportunity has come up to join a truly innovative origination located in Solihull, as they continue to grow with their Insights division.
Working as part of the organisations Business Analytics team, the Data Governance team is focused on establishing and maintaining the clients wide data governance framework, specifically on the use and management of data outside the operational systems. The team will work closely with IT Data Governance to ensure a unified approach.
The Senior Data Governance Analyst will interrogate the Data Warehouse to develop data quality reporting and impact assessment. The observations will be escalated through the governance structure. The role-holder will help implement a new toolset and champion its use across the Group.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Interrogate the Data Warehouse using SQL and Power BI to develop data quality reporting

Create and own data quality dashboards allowing analytics teams to see any issues with incoming data and alert the business where needed

Support the implementation of a new toolset to:

Improve understanding of data lineage

Record data classification
-
Provide a data catalogue to improve data discovery
-
Improve metadata management
-
Enhance reporting and analysis
-
Contribute to policy standards and procedures, and ensure that they are followed

Build trusted relationships with business lines to ensure a collaborative effort to improve the awareness of data and it’s use

Use strong influencing skill to drive a data culture across the Group

Ensure consistency of definitions

Define data quality rules and assess impact

Support key projects across the Group to ensure data is captured, verified, and managed in line with the data policies

Partner with IT to ensure a unified approach to data governance

Support junior team members by assisting to develop individual skillsets
Essential Skills:
- Ability to analyse & understand complex datasets, and interpret and present results in a clear and concise manner

A proven track record of building and maintaining collaborative partnerships with key business stakeholders to maximise value and benefits for the business

Strong Excel skills

Strong SQL experience

Focus on using own initiative, and adopting a logical and systematic approach to work

Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of data governance toolsets (Collibra)
