Job Overview
To execute all aspects of warehouse duties to ensure the efficient support operation for Jamie Briggs Removals & Storage Limited
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Movement of all containers as required and related paperwork / photographs of containers on a day-to-day basis and liaison with Warehouse Manager who will also carry out checks.
· To manage and organize the movement and content at all storage sites.
· Assistance with the loading and offloading of vehicles as directed and when required.
· Working closely with our retail clients to ensure our service agreement is adhered to.
· Have the flexibility to work the bank holidays with additional pay to maintain workflow for our retail clients.
· Continuous audit and maintenance of containers, ideally two bays per week to include offering a repack service to clients when necessary. Advice Finance for any assistance that needs invoicing.
· Completion of accurate storage paperwork / movement sheets relating to daily activity.
· Ensure ALL containers have accurate inventories and photos prior to being put away.
· To complete a weekly material audit and report stock levels to Operations Manager
· Responsibility for recycling in the warehouse and keeping the bailer area clear
· Ordering of related equipment for the above responsibility i.e. baler wire and skips
· Assist with the loading and unloading of commercial vehicles as and when required and check that appropriate paperwork has been signed by all parties
· Assist in the loose items process in the warehouse with relevant paperwork and housing them immediately.
· Responsible for weekly audit of loose items and the reporting of this to the Operations Manager
· Responsibility for the general tidiness of the warehouse, both inside and outside, and the reporting all Health and Safety issues / requirements/ observations to the Operations Manager.
· Keep client’s stillage’s clean
· Oversee the signing in and out of removal equipment for crews including electrical equipment
· Responsible for the Opening of the warehouse and building 123 when hours allow.
· Porter duties as and when required.
Skills & Qualifications
The skills, experience, and qualifications necessary for this position are:
· Counterbalance/Reach Fork- Lift driver qualifications
· Physically able to lift heavy loads (25kg)
· Display initiative and drive, have a can-do attitude
· Be an adaptable team player
· Ability to work under pressure
· Organizational and Planning skills
Job Type: Full-time
