As a centre of excellence, you will offer a person-centred approach to their independence and wellbeing and go the extra mile to ensure compassionate and personalised patient care. In return you will join a supportive team environment and be provided with robust personal development opportunities and an enhanced rate for your services in line with the Agenda for Change framework.

The main duties of the role will include blood sampling for patients on all acute wards, providing a service to the very busy and demanding blood sampling room, and for patients attending clinics of varying specialties.

Whilst previous phlebotomy experience is an advantage, it is not essential as successful candidates will attend the trust venepuncture training prior to undertaking any practice as arranged with Trust Education Department. Practical assessments will take place in workplace.

Our Care Organisations are designed to operate within a group arrangement of hospitals, community, and healthcare services. Together they manage and are responsible for the day-to-day running of their hospital and community services, ensuring the safe delivery of high-quality care at scale.

Oldham Care Organisation is responsible for delivering healthcare services at the Royal Oldham Hospital and within the community. The hospital has a full A&E department, including a specialist one for children, and offers a comprehensive range of acute and general surgical services, including vascular surgery.
