Job Description

Are you looking for a challenging HR role where no two days are the same? This could be just what you have been looking for!

The Technical Services Division of the RSK Group is looking to recruit a Divisional HR Manager who will be responsible for the development and delivery of the HR Strategy for the Division, aligned with the overall Group HR strategy. The successful candidate will lead the operational support business partnering model for all business units in the division and provide strategic leadership, advice and guidance to the Divisional Leadership Team on all HR matters.

This is a full-time, permanent role, reporting to the Divisional Director. The role can be home-based but regular travel across the UK will be required.

Divisional HR Manager – UK Wide

Key responsibilities:

  • Engage with the division on all aspects of HR using a variety of approaches to suit the business units in the Technical Services Division.
  • Support the Divisional Director, Operations Director and business units in all aspects of HR in the division, attending senior leadership meetings and operations meetings as required.
  • Work closely with the HR discipline leads to develop appropriate strategies to suit the divisional requirements in line with the overall Group strategy.
  • Provide an input into policy discussions to influence the HR procedures and HR systems infrastructure in the Group.
  • Deliver strategies to support growth and development of the business.
  • Work collaboratively with Group HR to support the wider group in alignment with the needs of Technical Services.
  • Lead HR due diligence & onboarding for new acquisitions into the division.
  • Develop a strong commercial understanding of market trends, competitors and forces affecting the division currently and anticipated in the future.
  • Work closely with other HR specialist functions (L&D, Resourcing, Reward, Systems and Wellbeing etc) to leverage the value of the whole HR offering, coordinating across functions as required.
  • Lead and ensure delivery of the entire HR lifecycle processes.
  • Champion the development and use of people analytics to deliver insights, improve management decision making and to support the prioritisation of effort and resources.
  • Lead and support with HR statistics including labour turnover reports, absence benchmarking, gender pay reporting, recruitment etc.
  • Play a key role in initiating and leading people change, ensuring that any impacts are fully understood and well managed.
  • Contribute to the culture of innovation within the company, bringing external/internal insights and experience to bear on development of the HRBP function and on HR driven initiatives and projects.

Person specification

  • CIPD level 7 or above qualified or working towards.
  • High degree of business acumen with the interpersonal skills, courage and expertise to effectively influence business leaders.
  • A proven track record of undertaking a HR Business Partner role to deliver business focused HR solutions.
  • Proven team skills and a strong collaborator, with the ability to partner across HR to drive effective business support.
  • Excellent knowledge of HR best practice and future thinking, and a forward focused approach to HR development and delivery.
  • Ability to develop and deliver people propositions, gaining buy in and support from business leaders.
  • Track record of initiating and supporting HR processes and change projects.
  • Knowledge and experience of the requirements of a HR due diligence process for potential acquisitions.
  • Understanding of the requirements to onboard and integrate new businesses in a rapid growth environment.
  • Strong project and programme management experience.
  • Full UK driving licence.
