Job Description

Job Purpose:

Provide a generalist support service to the business, covering second line employee relations advice. Act as an SME for people systems and processes, seeking to continuously improve and provide a first class service to both colleagues and leaders throughout the colleague journey.



Key Accountabilities:

  • Act as a subject matter expert for people systems and processes, providing a seamless service to colleagues and leaders. Investigate and own issues to get to a solution
  • Lead our people/payroll system myHUB from a people perspective, ensuring it works effectively for the business, raising any issues as necessary, collaborating with key teams such as Payroll and IT and working towards future objectives for system functionality
  • Own and review systems activity within relevant platforms (e.g. PolicyHub, Incredihub), supporting the People Assistants to drive efficient ways of working regarding systems and processes
  • Own, review and refine processes within People Services with efficiency and colleague experience in mind. Work with Senior People Advisor, Senior Manager People Services and wider team to collaborate and achieve the best possible outcomes
  • Own SOx controls within People Services to ensure our compliance. Complete any SOx related audit activity to evidence compliance with these controls
  • Work with the Reward & Policy Manager to review policies and procedures to ensure they are aligned with relevant UK and Ireland legislation, best practice and internal processes
  • Provide timely, professional and accurate second line advice to colleagues and leaders on a variety of topics across the colleague journey, acting as escalation point for the Assistants
  • Support management/resolution of incoming queries and BAU activities as required
  • Support the wider People team with ad-hoc activities and projects related to the delivery of the people plan as required, including implementing new initiatives

Key Skills:

  • Passionate about delivering a first-class service
  • Excellent organiser who plans to succeed, with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate and engage at a variety of levels internally and externally
  • A real team player with a proactive and can-do approach
  • Knowledge of employee relations and relevant legislation
  • Previous experience within a HR/People Advisor role and/or working knowledge of HR/people processes and procedures
  • Experience working with people/HR systems, ideally at a superuser level
