The Seamill House Hotel is a luxury boutique hotel with 9 stylishly appointed bedrooms and suites, 2 private dining rooms, a laid back bar and panoramic restaurant. We are situated on the stunning West Coast of Scotland and we host one of the most stunning views overlooking the Isle of Arran and the Firth of Clyde.
We are currently looking for a hard-working, passionate and experienced Night Porter to join our ever-growing team. A Night Porter carries out general, and deep cleaning duties to deliver an excellent guest and customer experience while ensuring back, and front of house areas are clean and safety guidelines are observed.
Their main duties and responsibilities include:
- Maintain a hygienic working environment in accordance with hygiene regulations and company standards
- Carry out general cleaning as directed to include sweeping, mopping, hoovering and emptying of rubbish bins and boxes ensuring placement in the correct containers.
- Ensuring that all Front of house areas are kept clean and all equipment is cleaned in accordance with the cleaning schedule.
- Report any maintenance and, or, hazard issues to the supervisor on duty.
- Carry out any other reasonable task set by the Hotel's Management
- Maintain the highest level of grooming, cleanliness and personal hygiene.
- Understand the company’s policy on health & safety.
- Be fully competent in the correct procedure to follow in the event of an emergency.
- Ensure security of all property.
- Complying with any other tasks that are requested by management and any other reasonable requests made by the guest.
This is a hands-on role; the applicant should have a great passion for delivering the highest level of customer service, keen attention to detail and be able to prioritise tasks.
The successful candidate will be responsible for securing the site overnight, deep cleaning throughout the site and resetting for breakfast service according to daily resident numbers, and making yourself available for guests' needs throughout the night.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 16-32 per week
Salary: £7.49-£10.42 per hour
