Our client, a leader in providing products for scientific research, is looking for a recent life science graduate who is wanting a career in Marketing. They are an innovative and fast-growing distributor of specialty products for life science research. They work with reagents, instrumentation and biospecimens used by researchers in industrial and academic labs throughout the UK.
The company are looking for someone enthusiastic and energetic who has the drive to work as part of a team and willing to learn new marketing skills. They are looking for someone confident who enjoys making complex scientific information accessible to various audiences. The candidate will be mentored by senior members of the sales team to help develop their skillset.
This role would suit a recent life science graduate or someone with industrial lab or commercial experience who is looking for a challenging and rewarding career that is still within the science industry.
Job Responsibilities
As a Trainee Technical Marketing Associate you will work with the Marketing team on the production of marketing communications and price-file, e-catalogue and CRM Management. There are excellent opportunities for career development and progression.
Marketing Communications

Write, edit and proofread scientific content for the web, social media, email and print

Collaborating with graphic designers to produce artwork for various channels

Analyse email marketing to determine effectiveness

Monitoring website and social media promotion
Price file & e-catalogue management

Manage the receipt of new and updated price files from suppliers

Clean up and categorise data, updating existing product data and adding new products to the system

Liaise with Business Managers to improve product data provided by suppliers

Optimising data to be sent to e-catalogues, checking data meets requirements
CRM Management

Manage data on CRM (SalesForce)

Creating new accounts, merging duplicate leads / contacts/ opportunities

Creating / updating reports

Internal mapping
Job Requirements:

A Life Science degree (Biology, Biomedical Science, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences etc.)

A Master's degree or 1 years laboratory or commercial science experience is preferred

An interest in marketing and a desire to have relevant training in the area

Strong Excel skills
