Media Zoo is one of the UK's fastest growing communications agencies and is looking for a Client Relationship Director to grow our PR and comms offer. Our PR team provides everything from strategic messaging and media training to corporate and consumer PR, event management and crisis communications. Media engagement is at the core of everything we do, whether it is launching a new product or managing the reputation of our clients. Our award-winning Comms team are all top-class media professionals from a variety of PR and journalistic backgrounds.
This unique mix of skills makes our PR, media training, digital and corporate filming particularly effective and we are increasingly integrating our entire offer by undertaking 360-degree media campaigns. Our client base features a large number of world leading companies including American Express, Lego, INEOS, Tesco, BNY Mellon, Marks & Spencer, Body Shop, HSBC, and Santander.
About you.
You are a PR Business Development Director or similar with an excellent understanding of the industry and its product range and an appetite to move on to the next phase of your career. You will be used to developing sales leads, preparing your own sales collaterals and leading on sales pitches.
You will have proven sales success at growing both new and existing client accounts and a good
management style. This role requires a director level approach to sales and account management,
while bringing enthusiasm and ambition to the role.
You will be used to structuring your own time and workload. You will build a comprehensive sales plan and lead on its execution. You will be used to working to and exceeding sales targets and be a good team player. You will report to the Head of Sales and the Head of PR.
Key Requirements
- At least 3 years experience within Business Development at a PR agency (Director level).
- Experience in corporate and consumer communications, as well as crisis comms.
- The ability to design and execute an ambitious PR business development plan.
- A comprehensive knowledge of the PR industry and its product range.
- The ability to develop and manage a skilled business development team.
- A positive, confident and determined approach.
- The ability to flourish in a competitive environment.
- The ability to work in a team.
- Excellent contacts book.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Excellent numeracy.
