Finance Systems Administrator - 18 months FTC
We are hiring for a Finance Systems Administrator to help with configuration and technical work for our
Oracle Fusion ERP system, where you will determine and support end to end processes.
This role will give you opportunity to broaden your exposure to Oracle Fusion, and drive business value
through incremental enhancements of the system for stakeholders.
About the role:
- Capture business requirements & change requests from the business. Record changes in JIRA with no audit exceptions.
- Assist with tasks and testing in relation to the quarterly Fusion patch through development > test and production environments.
- Update the Fusion configuration workbook.
- Assist relevant individuals in Financial Accounting & Control team to ensure completeness of information for month end processes.
- Support other Finance systems admin activity as cover for other team members, in particular but not limited to CBD/EBD/WBD, setting up new sites and helping to deal with site or banking queries.
- Adhere to Finance system controls effectively at all times
- Management of queries, Service now queues, defects and SRs - facilitating between the business, Fujitsu support, Oracle Functional Helpdesk, OMCS, and Oracle Virtual Maintenance Team (VMT)
- Other ad-hoc tasks and responsibilities as required to ensure an efficient and effective finance department
What you’ll be doing:
- Capture business requirements & change requests from the business
- Delivery of changes (small to large) configuration changes in accordance with Whitbread change policy.
- Testing and relevant config changes are made in line with patch schedule and policies
- Successfully close Service Now Fusion defect tickets as assigned
- Solutions put in place to resolve defects. Help to Coordinate testing from Development > Test > production. Document in JIRA change system
- Co-ordination with Fusion Technical Support to resolve defects
- SME Fusion support during period end, liaising with Oracle for resolution in line with business priorities
- Monitoring and updating automation of pre-opening sites once on sale
- Ensuring sites are ready for opening date
- Monitoring non-submissions
- Operate System controls in accordance with Whitbread policy
What you’ll need:
- Knowledge & understanding of Fusion modules
- Technical knowledge and implementation experience of interfaces and configurations
- Understanding of Accountancy practices
- Knowledge of ERP systems approach to releases and patches and interpretation of release notes
