BUSINESS ANALYST
Inside IR35
Contract Term: 6 months (possibility of extension)
Contracting Authority: Homes England
Location: Remote / Hybrid (Occasional visits to either Newcastle, Coventry, Bristol or Liverpool Offices)

The Business Analyst role:
· This role is more of a business architect end of the BA spectrum.
· You will be working with architects to look at the Digital As-is, what is to be transitioned (ie what will be delivered, what will post Evolve look like).
· You will be working with the architects to identify and document the As-Is business architecture and support the overall enterprise architecture.
· You will work with the Evolve programme to identify the capabilities being delivered by the various projects
· You will identify what is to be transitioned into our future state, and what existing systems remain.
· You will confirm the target architecture post implementation of the Evolve programme and the business capabilities coverage
As a Business Analyst your main responsibilities will be
· An agile BA with experience of working in a multi-disciplinary scrum team, capable of covering for the Product Manager.
· Working with the architects to identify and document the As-Is business architecture and support the overall enterprise architecture.
· Work with the Evolve programme to identify the capabilities being delivered by the various projects
· Identify what is to be transitioned into our future state, and what existing systems remain.
· Confirm the target architecture post implementation of the Evolve programme and the business capabilities coverage
· Develop and articulate a detailed understanding of the Homes England's business processes, working with process owners to identify and implement opportunities for incremental and step-change process improvement.
· Work as an agile business analyst in a multi-disciplinary team, supporting the team and Product Manager with developing and managing a product backlog.
· Facilitate both agile ceremonies and business workshops.
· Production of Epics, Features and User Stories to agreed standards and quality levels.
· Work with stakeholders to identify and implement solutions to complex business problems, successfully identifying and then translating business needs to digital and non-digital solutions.
· Able to work to a waterfall approach, producing High Level, Functional and Non-Functional business requirements.
· Support team members and others within the wider business analysis community of practice, supporting the development and implementation of business analysis best practice
You’ll have relevant experience in:
· Working knowledge of - Business Analysis, Business Process Improvement, Business Modelling, Business Process Testing, Methods and Tools, Requirements, definition management, User experience analysis, Systems analysis, Testing and Stakeholder relationship management.
· Understand how business capabilities work
· Experience of Agile development methodologies, particularly Scrum.
· Experience of working with a backlog of user stories and acceptance criteria using Behaviour Driven Development.
· Experience of waterfall projects, producing to a High Level
· Functional and Non-Functional requirements.
· Knowledge of the GDS development approach / digital standards.
· Extensive stakeholder engagement
· Strong self starter
· Awareness of public sector finances e.g. Departmental Expenditure Limit (DEL).
· Excellent communication skills
