We are looking to appoint a dynamic, hardworking, and enthusiastic individual to join the School as Deputy Student Administration Manager. This role is a rewarding leadership position in a friendly, busy team that covers undergraduate and postgraduate administration in the School of Sociology Politics and International Studies. The role is varied, fast paced and will suit those who enjoy collaborative working.
You will be working with a team of administrators and academics, playing a pivotal role in ensuring students receive consistently high-quality administrative support during their studies. As part of the student administration leadership team, you will take an active role in developing and enhancing existing processes within the School, as well as supporting team members that you line manage and the wider team on a daily basis. You will also be building networks to share and implement best practise through the Faculty and University Education Administration Forums.
you have demonstrable experience in a student facing role or supporting groups with diverse needs; you thrive on working in a busy, varied environment and have excellent interpersonal communication skills, you enjoy using your advanced organisational skills to deliver a high quality service to students and staff, using your initiative, communication and organisational skills to be an effective and supportive manager.
The post-holder will also be a good team player, able to work effectively with staff at all levels in the School and in other service areas and with an ability to take initiative and show leadership to colleagues. In addition, you should be experienced in using a range of IT systems and be able to adapt to new systems and processes quickly. You are resilient and positive, even when dealing with complex and challenging issues.
