Bench and Site Joiner
Your role will involve working with workshop management and our event project managers to manufacture and build scenic event sets and exhibition stands. Attention to detail is essential, and you must have a desire to provide the highest level of customer service. You will be expected to work in our production facility near
Edinburgh and at venues throughout the UK.
You will be expected to manage and support your fellow team to ensure an efficient, productive, and pleasant working environment. Liaise with colleagues in our production department, coordinating and advising on work plans to ensure that Company priorities and completion deadlines for all production activities and external projects are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
● Construction of components as required ensuring that the highest standards in finish and tolerances in accordance with information supplied, are achieved using the correct methods.
● Following day to day production plans in order to meet project deadlines.
● Liaise with the design and production team and give input into new ideas/designs.
● To take the lead role on a specific project and working with other Carpenters, take it through the workshop from start to finish including a full test build and then installing on-site too.
● Be able to solve problems and make decisions when needed.
● Attend briefing meetings and be able to make suggestions for production.
● Help to manage the quality control of finished items and ensure that these are checked and conform to expected standards.
● Adhere to all Health & Safety Regulations and promote a safe working environment by actively incorporating H&S into everyday activities.
● Maintain Housekeeping standards by actively promoting and following Environmental procedures.
● Stock management.
● Develop CNC & Laser operation skills.

Required Skills:
● Apprentice trained, or time served joinery experience
● Working knowledge of wood working machinery / equipment
● Comfortable reading engineering drawings
● Experience of working within a workshop environment, shop fitting, exhibition, site, bench or bespoke joinery essential
● Experience of working with acrylic, Corian, laminates, veneers, hardwoods, GRP etc. essential
● Experience of producing bespoke components & structures
● Graphic Application
● You will need to have a full driving licence and be confident driving 3.5t vans

Working Times.
During standard business periods, we expect the workshop facility to have an operating time of 0800-1630hrs.
Flexible working hours are available subject to director approval.
You may be expected to attend meetings on-site with clients to develop this facility. Occasional work me be required to be carried out at our main office in Bridge of Earn.
£25 – 30k depending on experience
