Ipswich Hospital are currently seeking several Care Support Workers / Health Care Assistants to join their team on a temporary basis. The trust will consider both part time and full time candidates for this role as long as you can commit to a long term placement. There are various shifts available.

About the Trust
East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust (ESNEFT) provides a full range of services across 2 main hospitals, 6 community hospitals and within the local community including maternity, cardiac and major accident and emergency (A&E) services. What you will be responsible for
· Assist the Registered Nurses to care for the patient to ensure their physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs are met
· Assist the patient to perform activities of daily living in accordance with their plan of care, e.g. personal hygiene, dressing, toileting, feeding, oral hydration, positioning, mouth-care etc
· Perform and accurately record clinical observations as required and report changes to the Registered Nurse immediately
· Be responsible for ensuring own infection control practice is in line with Trust Infection Control policies, including approved hand-washing technique.
The role will involve, but not limited to you performing the above.
You will have the following qualification/experience:
· A minimum of 6 months paid experience in an Acute hospital environment within the last 2 years plus a care certificate or NVQ Level 2 or above in health and social care OR 12 months paid experience in an acute hospital environment in the last 3 years.
· Undertake regular mandatory training*
*Depending on the Trust, you may require variable additional certification and skills.
