Morgan sports cars are hand crafted using three core elements: ash, aluminium, and leather. Every car is entirely unique, built to the highest standards by passionate craftsmen and women, whose skills are handed down through generations and perfected over a lifetime, bringing together heritage, innovation, and cutting-edge technology.
Morgan's model line-up comprises Super 3, Plus Four and Plus Six. All models are characterised by their driving experience, and regardless of the model chosen, every journey in a Morgan is an adventure.
Morgan employs around 250 people at its Malvern factory. Morgan distributes via a network of c.70 dealers globally, with export markets representing around 70% of production demand annually.

The role
During a pivotal moment in its history, Morgan is investing in multiple new vehicle developments. It is doing so primarily by bolstering its internal expertise but is also increasing its engagement with collaborative partners.
Morgan’s Creative team is housed in its dedicated Design Centre and is required to deliver solutions for a range of high-profile creative projects. Beyond complete vehicle design, the team delivers front facing digital communications, corporate identity design definition, special vehicle project solutions, UI design, interior design, display signage, exhibition design plus solutions for a wide variety of literature, merchandise, and other physical product developments.
Responsible to the Chief Design Officer, and supporting the Creative Design Manager, and working as a key member within Morgan’s small but dedicated design team, the successful candidate will play an important role in defining the design language of future Morgan vehicles. Successful applicants should expect to become the main conduit of 3D surface data between the design and Engineering teams during the conceptual, and through to the production, phases of a project. As such, a broad range of experience and high level of surfacing competence is preferable for this role.
The person
A minimum of 7 years’ professional experience is required, and the successful candidate should demonstrate strong self-management ability. The role is of creative nature, contributing digital modelling support to many phases of the design journey and will require work on various projects at any one time.
We are looking for an impressive résumé demonstrating a strategic approach to solving technical and aesthetic challenges, and a keen awareness of relevant automotive design trends. The right person must convey an inherent ability to generate powerful conceptual solutions alongside being able to deliver tool-ready digital A surfaces.
The Candidate must be passionate about their work, a strong communicator and one who delights in presenting and developing ideas with colleagues and clients.
Responsibilities and tasks
This role will require, but not be limited to, the following obligations:
- Working onsite within the design / styling department at Morgan to create high quality digital surfaces in support of the concept and engineering phases of a project and through to release of production ready surface data. This will be conducted at exterior, interior and component level.
- Use Autodesk Alias to create high quality and accurate 3D models
- Meet tight deadlines, whilst working on simultaneous projects, in an efficient and professional manner
- Work in a highly collaborative team environment
- Input on design challenges and communicate ideas with descriptive drawings, renderings and 3d models
Skills, knowledge, experience, and qualifications
- 7+ years’ experience at OEM level working with both styling designers and engineering departments. (Transportation industries preferred)
- Very High proficiency with Autodesk’s Alias software to deliver automotive surfaces (Class A capability preferred)
- Proficiency with Adobe creative suite, in particular Adobe Photoshop.
- Relevant Education qualifications – College / university - Transportation Design Degree preferred.
- Skilled at capturing design intent while recognizing technical and aesthetic criteria and project limitations.
- Ability to express good technical and mechanical aptitude regarding materials, manufacture, fit and finish.
- Proficiency in VRED and / or unity visualization software preferred.
- Familiarity with Dassault’s Catia / 3dx systems not essential but valued
- Familiarity with BOM / data management systems not essential but valued.
- Self-starter with the ability to work with little supervision.
