To coordinate the development, implementation, delivery, and evaluation of a broad portfolio of evidence-based services such as: tobacco control, pregnancy, young people, military, acute, and community healthcare teams. These multidisciplinary projects support the achievement of local and national targets relating to tobacco control and health inequalities.
To act as the focal point for partnership development and networking about the tobacco control agenda across the region and Medway.
To work in the context of the Tobacco Control Plan and the Public Health Outcomes Framework to reduce health inequalities.
Represent the service at all senior-level management meetings locally, nationally, and regionally.
This position will also include delivering formal presentations and training to a range of clinical and non-clinical teams, i.e., GPs, Health Professionals, Committees, Local Authority meetings, Regional and National meetings, Senior Managers meetings, and other key stakeholders.
They will be responsible for the Operational Management of the named services, including staff and performance management, coordination and attendance at events, and marketing and promotional activity. This role also includes being responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and monitoring processes and procedures, which support team delivery.
To act as the lead for the local Medway Maternity Strategy partnership meetings and support the Senior Manager at the NHS Long Term Plan meetings.
To keep up to date with the latest evidence, national guidance and protocols and work in the context of the Tobacco Control Plan, NICE Guidance, and the Public Health Outcomes Framework to reduce health inequalities.
