City Health Centre is a practice in Manchester City Centre which is part of gtd healthcare . We are looking to recruit a Salaried GP to join our established team. We are open 8-8 Monday to Friday and can offer full or part days which can be useful to work around other commitments such as childcare.
Our patients are predominantly working age adults of many different nationalities and ethnicities but we do also see some older adults and manage chronic disease. Home visits are rarely needed. We see a lot of mental health, womens health and gender dysphoria as well as the usual GP conditions. The varied communities, ethnicities, people groups who are the heart of Manchester, these are the heart of City Practice, with our aim being to serve and meet needs of all our patients.
We use an online triage system and most patients are contacted by telephone first which gives you the flexibility to manage your own workload. We can offer working from home and many of our GPs do this as part of their job plan.
We are located above Boots on Market Street right in the centre of town near all the shops, cafes, restaurants and transport links.
We are a well supported practice with an experienced practice team, including a practice pharmacist, Physician Associates, Advanced Nurse Practitioners & Advanced Clinical Practitioners, a paramedic and 3 mental health workers. We were one of the first practices to employ a mental health worker and we find this role very helpful to manage complex patients.
