About the opportunities
Our Water and Environment business has a diverse portfolio of projects with a focus for the utilities, environmental and ports and marine sectors, advising our clients on sustainability issues including renewable energy, low carbon economies, impacts of climate change and waste and resource management. Our capabilities comprise of in excess of 2,000 staff based predominantly in the UK, but with reach into wider Europe, the Middle East, and in India.
The role will typically include leading and delivering the following activities;
- Providing project controls support to key projects.
- Implementation of project scheduling on projects using scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Working with the lead project planner to take outputs from interactive/collaborative planning sessions.
- Work with the project controls lead to set project baselines.
- Work with the project controls lead to monitor and manage change on projects and programmes, including the production of change notices in line with the projects contractual requirements.
- Work with the planning lead to effectively interpret and analyse project schedules to extract critical path information and understand the risk carried within a project delivery schedule.
- Be able to distil complex schedules and extract the relevant information such that it can be effectively communicated
- Assist in the Development and implementation of standardized project controls processes and tools.
- Attend OPRs (project review meetings) and Admin Reviews (as needed).
- Work with the project controls lead to implement project controls leading indicators such as S Curves and Earned Value.
- Work with other PC leads and PMs to develop recovery plans for projects.
- Support pricing development on major pursuits.
- Review weekly Project metrics for PU and leads closure of actions.
- Supports business operations with relevant business analytic.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Be working towards a relevant Degree or Masters level qualification such as Project Management, business management, financial management or Project Controls and have a passion for the subject.
To be a flexible and innovative self-starter who brings a curious mindset to finding solutions for real-world problems
The adaptability to learn, unlearn and reprioritise as things around you change
You must have the permanent right to work in the UK.
