Applicants ideally have gained a degree in Law and have some experience as a paralegal. Experience in family law and a keen interest in this area of law is essential.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and inter-personal skills with a commitment to providing outstanding client service.
We are looking for a receptionist/paralegal to work in our office. Duties will include the following: -
- general reception duties and paralegal work including preparation of trial bundles, clerking court hearings, issuing court proceedings and assisting fee earners with case work.
- To develop and maintain good client contact relationships and enhance the firm’s client base by effective liaison with existing clients
- To use correct procedures and systems in order to manage cases effectively and in accordance with the firm’s standards and legal requirements.
- Assisting the Fee earners and or Partners by gathering information for cases and attending clients.
- Deal with research, document drafting and client interviews as per the Fee Earners and or Partners instructions.
- Preparation of correspondence and documents through typing and word processing.
- To administer day to day filing which includes the opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files in accordance with the detailed procedures contained in the office manual.
- Preparation of mail for despatch
- To do all such things which are in the reasonable opinion of the firm, ancillary, necessary and conducive to the role and responsibilities.
