Working on a contract basis, OUTSIDE IR35 to support high value critical projects. Candidate must be fully conversant with Primavera P6. Previous roles within the Nuclear sector would be advantageous.
ARM and/or Safran experience is advantageous.
Specific responsibilities and tasks will include:
Liaise with all appropriate stakeholders both internally and externally to create and maintain an integrated master schedule for assigned project.
Lead and maintain a Business Monthly Rhythm that establishes all the key activities to deliver the PMO obligations (ETC, Schedule Reviews, Risk Reviews, Reporting Activities)
Implement a robust Earned Value Management system that confirms to contractual requirement using Baseline compliance and Reporting.
Facilitate independent or peer reviews on assigned project.
Ensure governance, deployment & reporting of Risk & Opportunity Management on assigned project, (this includes applying schedule risk analysis).
Work with the project team to ensure the correct and effective Project Governance is applied on assigned project.
Ensure tools are deployed and used appropriately. This could include acting as a Subject Matter Expert.
Liaise with project team to collect and monitor the use of ‘lessons learned’ as part of a continuous improvement culture and provide feedback quarterly to the OME PMO.
Ensure a robust Baseline Change Request change control process is implemented on assigned project to manage the PMB.
Essential Skills, Experience and Behaviours:
Minimum 8 years’ experience in a PMO context working on Complex Projects.
Expert user of planning and scheduling tools (P6) delivering best practice. This includes an ability to create and maintain optimised integrated master schedules and perform variance and critical path analysis against the baseline.
Ability to establish and meet deadlines, multi-task and prioritise without the requirement for regular direct supervision.
Experience of implementing a robust Earned Value Management system.
Ability to analyse, interpret and present information.
Experience of deploying an effective risk management process. This includes facilitating risk reviews and performing schedule and cost risk analysis.
Experience of establishing and implementing a robust governance or project reporting framework.
Ability to provide coaching and support to PMO team.
A proactive individual with strong communication and team working skills with the ability to challenge and influence the Project Team.
Desirable
APM and/or Safran experience is advantageous.
Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance.
