More about your role
As our HR Shared Services Manager, you will lead our HR Support function that is made up of 11 team members. Your role will focus on the transactional delivery of an effective, efficient, and professional HR Shared Service, transacting over 3,000 changes per month and putting customers at the heart of everything we do.
We are looking for a candidate who can deliver a best-in-class service whilst also looking at our current processes and making positive, meaningful changes in ‘the Places for People way'. You will drive the optimisation of processes, maintain senior stakeholder relationships, manage service levels, demand for new/improved services and the measurement of customer satisfaction and perception.

The ideal candidate for this role will have proven experience in an established shared service and will be able to evidence this at interview. Our HR Department currently has several projects in the pipeline so you will need to be a ‘change champion,' supporting these projects with a positive attitude to support your team to navigate the changes whilst maintaining service delivery and engagement.
We are looking for a strong people manager and a natural collaborator who can engage the team and make a positive impact on the culture. Our HR Support team is a feeder to the rest of the HR function, employing applicants who are just starting out in their HR journey, we want you to not only lead, but inspire the team and nurture their skills before they take their next step in their career with Places for People.
