We are currently recruiting a customer focused, Systems Support Analyst to join the Library Systems team. The successful applicant will be responsible for line managing the Systems Assistant and supporting the Library Systems Manager, who they will report to.
The Systems Support Analyst will be expected to evidence and demonstrate their ability to analyse and troubleshoot the various library systems effectively to develop streamlined service workflows.
The role will involve developing its library management system (currently Alma), resource discovery system (currently Primo), reading list system (currently Leganto), and the integrations with other associated systems, i.e. Access Control, Student Information System.
You will be providing a high quality and user focused service and your great communication skills mean you work equally as well with Library staff, central IT Services and the external suppliers of our services. Your strong analytical skills mean you get to the root cause of systems issues.
The analyst will be expected to provide management information and statistics to support the strategic and operational requirements of Library managers and staff.
Ideally candidates will have an informed view of recent developments in the UK Higher Education digital sector and an understanding of Library systems.

The Library operates within a Hybrid Working Framework and this role is categorised as fully Hybrid. This will typically involve working a number of days a week on campus but with the option of some remote working. The days working on campus may vary week to week as required.
