Waste and Recycling Manager (G15)
This is an exciting time to be working in Croydon. As we emerge from the impacts of the pandemic, we face an unprecedented challenge in shaping the recovery and sustainable growth of our borough. Croydon Council is also building back from declaring a S114 notice last year, and we are having to work innovatively, build partnerships and strengthen ties with local communities, businesses, and wider society, working towards a more sustainable and inclusive future for the whole borough.
We are looking for a number of roles to work within the Waste and Recycling Team. These posts are part of a small but very busy Environmental Services team responsible for the delivery of key environmental front line contracts in the borough.
Knowledge and experience of delivering excellent services within a local authority responsible for environmental contracts in partnership with various commercial providers, would be an advantage. Just as important will be your values, attitude and approach, and the ability to work collaboratively with politicians, colleagues, partners, and local businesses to ensure that our residents receive the best possible life chances and excellent services.
All roles are full-time hours, 36 per week
