Smart Clothing has an opportunity for a Multi-head Embroidery machine operater to join their successful and well established business based in Bolton
Hours of work: 20 to 40 hours per week - Working hours beween 9am - 5.30pm
*IMPORTANT*: Please only apply if:
- You are experienced in operating industrial multi-head embroidery machines
- You live locally or can commute easily to work at our premises in Bolton and successfully prove you can run an embroidery machine
Your role as an Embroidery Machine Operative includes, but is not limited to:
- Accurately position and embroider logos in a variety of positions on a varying range of garments.
- Ensure all logo colours and sizing are correct in line with runsheets.
- Selecting correct threads as per files and positioning logos as required
- Folding and packing garments after embroidery as well as Lifting and moving stock coming in and out of the premises.
- Any other reasonable duries as required by management including helping with new stock deliveries as well as processing customer or store orders.
- Keep machines and workstations clean and tidy Including maintenance such as replacing needles, cleaning and oiling.
- Quality inspection of garments, framing garments, packing, labelling and bagging items if required
The skills we require from you are as follows:
- Experience in embroidery is required
- Keen eye for detail and being alert to applying the correct embroidery in the correct colours on the correct garment in the correct position
- Be able to work at a fast pace and prioritise your own workload.
- Effective communication skills.
- Highly punctual and have a good attendance record.
- Be able to stand for long periods of time whilst working
- Be able to work independently and use initiative to get the jobs done accurately & efficiently.
- Be able to do extra hours in peak periods as required by the business and not to take time off/holidays in peak season (July to September)
- Be able to use a computer to extract files required to run the required designs as well as be able process orders online. Training will be given if required.
- Be flexible and willing to perform other tasks as required, such as picking out stock, shelving , rubbish removal, dealing with customers as and when required.
