Editorial assistant
Salary: Up to £23,000 per annum negotiable depending on experience
Contract: Permanent
Location: Hybrid - office based with full flexibility to work from home or at any of our hubs – London, Bristol, Manchester and Harwell. (Manchester preferred)

The content team are at the heart of the information, advice and guidance we provide on prospects.ac.uk. Our experienced team are pivotal in the development of our content pages and ensuring we have varied and relevant content to help students and graduates make informed study and careers choices.
The team shape our tone of voice, ensure consistency across the brand and ensure appropriate content is shown to our audience in the right places. They produce all of the content on prospects.ac.uk (attracting 2 million unique users per month).
About the role:
As an editorial assistant you will be involved in all aspects of writing content for prospects.ac.uk. Whether you’re updating our France country profile, writing a new article on the biggest challenges facing the engineering sector or editing a graduate case study your ability to write clear, accurate, concise content is key.
You will work alongside a team of editors to develop ideas for content and its delivery that inspire and engage the audience. You will be responsible for writing and publishing engaging content - including features, information articles, case studies and advertorial pieces.
We are looking for someone who has a passion for all things writing, and is able to showcase examples of published work that demonstrates an ability to write concise, creative and engaging copy across digital platforms.
Responsibilities will include:
- Using web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Semrush to identify trends and keywords to generate ideas for new content and improve the SEO ranking of existing content on prospects.ac.uk
- Developing content for multimedia platforms including webinars, videos and podcasts
- Research and information gathering around different topics to help shape and inform the content on prospects.ac.uk
- Uploading and publishing content using a content management system.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A keen eye for detail
- The ability to sub content to a high standard ensuring mistakes are identified and house style is adhered to
- Previous use of content management systems to publish website content
