About us:
Accommodation Services provide a home to over 5600 students living within our portfolio and in nominated properties. This role will help deliver a high quality service within a customer-focused environment which operates 24/7/365.
Our dedicated team of staff provide support and signposting on a wide variety of emotional and practical issues, from issues living with others, behaviour management, homesickness, general wellbeing, engagement with meaningful social activity and connecting students to the services offered by the wider University.
In all our activities, we are driven by a culture of continuous improvement, implementing enhancements to our service delivery to enable an exceptional staff and student experience.
About you:
You will be working as part of a team to provide administrative and clerical service with specific functions within residential lettings, including the allocation and operation of University managed Accommodation, giving advice on financial and contractual matters.
You will constantly be proactive and monitor progress to reach the end goal in required timescales and strive towards the University’s 2030 Strategy.

Excellent networking and influencing skills are required for the role to establish positive working relationships across the University and with our providers. You are passionate and strive in helping our customers getting the best service and accommodation experience possible.
This is a part time role of 22 hours a week, proposed working pattern with a minimum of one evening during the week until 19:00.
Tuesday 10:00-15:00
Wednesday 10:00-15:00
Thursday 10:00 – 15:00
Friday 11:30 – 19:00
Due to the nature of this role and the function that Accommodation Services provide this role will be office based.
Some weekend and evening work will be required during the main allocation period and student arrival times, including Clearing, Welcome Weekend and Marketing Events (Open Days and Applicant days). Prior notice will be given.
Where is this role based?
This post is predominantly based at Frenchay, however travel to other campuses and nominated accommodation buildings will be necessary.
At our lively Frenchay campus where we have invested in the latest facilities and resources to give both our staff and students access to everything they need to succeed – £300m has been invested recently on new state-of-the-art learning spaces and accommodation while we continue to develop incredible new facilities to enhance our offer even further.
Frenchay campus has excellent transport links; as well as being located near the motorway network we are within walking distance of two train stations, our bus terminus connects us to the local bus and metrobus network and we also have a range of cycling and changing facilities.
