As a Head of Strategy & Transformation, you will be involved in:
- Corporate strategy development

Key accountabilities and responsibilities:-
Bring an understanding of the overall Group Strategy, plus key strategic / transformation developments across business areas

Provide support, thought partnering, guidance, as well as challenge where required
- Prepare ExCo, Board and other Exec papers to report on progress as required

Consult and input into strategic thinking for business area
-
Develop annual transformation plan, objectives, work packages and investment cases aligned to 3-year plan
- Support the development of business area 3-year plan
-
Set up and manage business area reporting and tracking against transformation objectives

Be able to objectively review transformation activity, call out where delivery isn’t occurring as expected and work with the relevant partners to get progress back on track

Ongoing monitoring of progress and identification of any required changes to annual plan or transformation priorities to ensure successful delivery of objectives

Define business area resource requirements to deliver annual and 3-year plans

Own the transformation change narrative within business area and ensure alignment with overall M&S strategy and narrative

Manage and ensure the successful transition of transformational change to business as usual, engaging colleagues and senior partners throughout the process

Coach business leads and owners to sponsor, own and lead transformational change
Key skills and experience:-
Critical thinker with consistent track record of success in strategic development and execution

Previous transformation experience, including shaping and overseeing a portfolio of diverse programmes; managing both partners and a transformation office to drive action and achieve agreed outcomes

Previous experience in consulting or in-house strategy and transformation roles

Strong leader, with the ability to clearly articulate, influence and challenge senior partners and peers as part of the leadership team

Good understanding of end-to-end omnichannel retailing

Strong people motivator with an ability to bring diverse teams together to deliver, engage and mobilise workforces behind the "greater good" even where they may not report directly to them
