Job Description:
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our expanding Credit Risk team as a Senior Credit Risk Analyst.
Our Credit Risk team use the latest tools to turn data into insight and maintain robust controls to manage current and future credit risks. We provide a framework within which the business can grow responsibly and sustainably. Our opportunities are mainly focussed in the Capital and Impairment provision teams.
What you will be doing
Your main responsibilities will include:
You will operate in a highly regulated environment, working autonomously to critically analyse a range of internal and external data to explore drivers of risk, supporting activity such as strategic/capital planning and stress testing.- You’ll use insight to make recommendations, effectively communicating these to stakeholders and working collaboratively to implement change, such as ensuring credit risk is appropriately reflected in our mortgage pricing.
- Increase efficiency and automation using coding packages and analytical tools, for example making improvements to the processes used to report capital and impairment metrics for regulatory, internal, and external purposes.
- Support other analysts and colleagues throughout, promoting an inclusive environment that values, encourages and supports difference.
- We’ll support your development, providing opportunities to work flexibly across the Credit Risk team whilst advancing your technical skills. We’re also here to support your career progression.
- Evolving our approach to portfolio risk management using capital and impairment metrics.
What you will bring
The key competencies for this role are:
- Experience in an analytical role
- Experience of analytical tools such as but not limited to SAS/SQL/R/Python
- Experience in communicating complex information in concise language
- Strong attention to detail and understanding of process and controls
