If so, we have an opportunity for a Group Financial Controller to join our Finance team here at Basecamp in Urmston, Manchester
As Group Financial Controller of Regatta Group, reporting directly to the CFO, you will be required to be a pivotal part of the Finance team to shape a high-performing finance team to support our ambitious growth targets. You will be instrumental in embedding the right controls and processes, managing tight month-end processes, cashflow/working capital initiatives and ensuring all statutory and tax compliance requirements across the group are met.
You will have line management of the Group Compliance/External Reporting, Group Management Accounts, Transactional/Payroll and Stock teams. In addition to this, the GFC will work very closely with the Treasury and Polish finance teams.
The role will require the ability to communicate at all levels, in a clear, concise, timely, and effective manner with both internal and external parties and stakeholders. The individual is also required to provide 'real-time' support and analysis, to be a trusted advisor at Regatta, and to add value that will assist in decision making.

The development of the departmental strategy and objectives contributed to

The annual corporate business plan and budget process managed and co-ordinated effectively

Treasury and cash management

The production of a suite of monthly and quarterly financial and non-financial reports overseen, including budgets, actuals and forecasts

The lead taken on the preparation of financial statements and external audit process, including subsidiaries

The relationship with external auditors managed
-
Responsibility for Corporation Tax submission
-
Acted as the lead in all financial related matters across the organisation
-
The CFO supported in presenting reports to senior executives, board members, and deputised as and when necessary, on financial matters
All financial reporting deadlines are adhered to across the group
As our future Group Financial Controller, you will have:

An ACA / CA qualification
-
Industry knowledge from either the retail sector or one where stock is a key component of the balance sheet would be advantageous

8 years + post qualification experience

Strong financial, accounting and managerial skills.

Strategic finance and tax planning.

Strong understanding of Tax, particularly indirect tax.
