An exciting new opportunity has arisen within the Boeing UK Fixed Wing Aircraft team for a Procurement Agent who will hold the authority to commit company resources through the placement of supplier contracts on the Training Services Program responsible for hardware and software requirements !
This role will be responsible for acquisition of goods and services in including; Supplier capability assessments, development of new sourcing strategies, negotiation of high value subcontracts and implementation of new programmes.
The successful candidate will need to be proactive, agile thinker able to solve complex problems alongside a number of functions to develop and form the strategic supply chain approach for Fixed Wing programmes.
Responsibilities :
- Execution of supplier management and procurement ensuring compliance with associated Boeing processes.
- Placing contracts for the purchase of goods and services.
- Support development of sourcing strategy for UK Fixed Wing programmes.
- Support creation of bid packages including supplier source selection and proposal evaluation (in compliance with the Boeing Integrated Business Acquisition Process (IBAP).
- Support the development and maintenance of relationships and partnerships with senior stakeholders, peers and relevant functional areas.
- Prepare, negotiate and execute all forms of contractual documentation including; Proprietary Information Agreements and Terms and Conditions
- Identify and mitigate risks and issues with suppliers by resolving root cause and developing corrective action.
Required Qualifications :
Experience supporting contract terms and conditions development, negotiations and raising contracts
Experience working with Microsoft Office
Experience supporting cross-functional teams.
Ability to obtain SC security clearance
Interpersonal and communication skills are critical to be successful in this role
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience working within a procurement or supply chain role for 5 years+ in the related field of Defence, IT, Training or equivalent
Experience with SAP
MCIPS or working towards MCIPS
Work Authorisation: This position does not have sponsorship approval. This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in the United Kingdom. Boeing will not attempt to obtain Immigration and labour sponsorship for any applicants.
Security Clearance: The successful candidate will be expected to undergo a UK Security Clearance Process, which will require 5 years uninterrupted residency in the UK prior to applying.
