Here at Fixtuur, our mission is to help consumers make more informed purchasing decisions, through Visual Commerce. With our software, consumers can configure, design and visualise home decor products in real-time 3D and see the end result in their own living space with Augmented Reality.
As a business, we are excited to be growing our SaaS products and expanding our client base, as such we are looking for a 3D Artist who will join a friendly and diverse team who will provide you with the training and development you need to be successful!
Our office is located in Ancoats, Manchester which you have daily access to. Our Studio & Service Delivery team work hybrid with the office days as Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, however, there is an occasional requirement to attend the office for workshops, ad-hoc team meetings, full company meetings and company/team events.
We kindly ask that applicants live within a reasonable distance to be able to come to the office as required.
The role
We’re currently growing our Studio & Service Delivery team at Fixtuur, and are looking for an experienced 3D artist to join the team to help deliver outstanding photorealistic 3D models and CGIs predominantly in retail and visualisation. Our Studio & Service Delivery is responsible for Visual Creation at Fixtuur which is our end-to-end, full digitalisation service which manages the creation of 3D models, optimisation for AR and real-time, creation of photorealistic CGIs and management of product data.
What does the opportunity look like day-to-day?
- Reporting to the Head of Studio, you will be responsible for the creation of accurate 3D models, optimisation of models and producing photorealistic CGIs ranging from studio imagery through to high-end lifestyle shots.
- Provide support to Service Delivery with ad-hoc 3D-related tasks.
- Provide quality control support and feedback on the work of other artists as required.
- Contribute towards the data management of projects.
- Participate in regular team and company meetings.
- This is not a games development role, we are looking for candidates keen to expand their CGI knowledge and experience
Requirements What you will bring to the team:
- Minimum 2 years of commercial experience in a creative production environment.
- Experience in creating photorealistic interior, exterior and product CGIs from start to finish (modelling, texturing, lighting, rendering and post-production).
- A passion for accurately creating 3D models of products from references.
- Experience with hard and soft surface modelling.
- Experience with techniques used to create mid-poly models.
- Knowledge of model optimisation for AR and real-time usage.
- Knowledge of PBR material workflows and bespoke material creation alongside the basic skills of unwrapping and UV mapping.
- Proficient in Autodesk 3ds Max, Corona Renderer and Photoshop. Blender knowledge is a bonus.
- The ability to work alone and as part of a team.
- Comfortable with working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to set workflows.
- Self-critical and willing to take constructive criticism.
Interview process
Our interview process will consist of a 45 min video call with the hiring manager, Head of Studio which will include looking at your technical skills with them if successful you will then be invited to an in-person interview with the Head of Studio and Head of Client Services.
Hours and days of work
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5.30 pm with a 1-hour lunch break.
