West Berkshire’s Public Health Team has as an exciting career-development opportunity for a Project Officer to join the team, on a fixed term two-year contract.
The post-holder will:
- Project manage a CVD prevention outreach service.
- Provide comprehensive and responsive project co-ordination and business support, working closely with a Senior Programme Officer on a wide range of tasks and programmes.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Effective project delivery skills including relationship building, reporting and procurement.
- Strong knowledge base of Public Health practice and principles, in particular addressing Health Inequity, Communicable Disease Outbreak Control, Prevention of ill-health and violence reduction.
At least 12 months experience in a Public Health or Local Authority role and at least 6 months Project co-ordination experience are essential.
We are ideally looking to offer the successful candidate the full number of hours advertised above. We may however consider offering less hours than advertised providing they meet the requirements of the role and service which will be determined by the recruiting manager.
