We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and well-organised person to join the Applied Health Research hub (AHRh). AHRh carries out health- and care-related research programmes and provides a range of support to internal UCLan researchers and external research partners. The hub includes the Research Delivery and Facilitation Unit (RFDU), where this post will be based.
Initially the postholder will be working with the IMPlementation and Capacity building Team (IMPaCT), Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Unit, which works in partnership with NIHR Applied Research Collaboration North West Coast (ARC NWC) and its member organisations. Members include regional universities, NHS, local authority and third sector organisations.
Working as part of a team with more experienced research staff, the postholder will provide support for a team of experienced researchers by assisting with the day-to-day operation of the data collection and analysis phase of a range of projects. The post holder will be supported by experienced researchers to develop their own skills in collaborative and programmatic health and care-related research.
The successful applicant will hold a minimum 2nd class honours degree in a relevant area. They should have experience of working in a health- and care-related field in a research and/or care delivery role.
Research skills including IT proficiency, and the ability to contribute to publications and reports are essential to the role, as well as communication skills.
The postholder should be able to work as part of a team, and to organise workload with support and manage activities across several projects.
