The role
You will be the organisational force and close support that helps our CEO be at her best to lead the company. We are looking for someone that is a critical thinker, good at anticipating needs and offering fast practical solutions. You will need a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
While you will be working the most closely with our CEO, the role will involve also helping the rest of the leadership team when needed. This means you will also enjoy exposure to different areas of our business from biotech to product (food) development to operations. The CEO lives in London, so we’re looking for someone whose time zone easily overlaps with hers.
Our headquarters are in Cambridge, UK, but we are open to this role being hybrid or fully remote.
What you’ll be doing:

Complete a broad variety of tasks that help facilitate the CEO’s ability to lead the organisation. This includes but is not limited to:
- producing complex documents, reports, presentations
- collecting and preparing information for meetings
- composing and preparing correspondence both for internal and external purposes
- maintaining contact lists
- completing expense reports
- help manage social media platforms
- Use discretion, confidentiality, and good judgement to handle matters
- Help with calendar management, particularly in prioritising inquiries and requests, making judgements and recommendations
- Help draft agendas, schedule meetings, distribute materials, and record meeting minutes wherever needed
- Conserve the CEO’s time by preparing and analysing information in advance, helping connect the dots internally and externally
- Make sure the CEO is well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately
- Book business travel arrangements, including both Cambridge commutes and international travels, compiling itineraries and managing the schedule whilst abroad
- Support recruitment where needed for CEO’s direct reports
- Act as a sounding board and sparring partner
- Complete ad hoc projects as assigned

- A born planner, with exceptional organisational skills, you’re someone who enjoys prioritising a busy workload. You know how to handle multiple concurrent tasks, anticipate changes and make competing priorities work to meet rigid deadlines, even if after working hours (as needed)
- Exceptional diary management skills with experience in coordinating a hectic and fast-changing schedule
- You know how to interact with all levels: from our board to execs to other founders and everyone across the organisation and outside whether its a junior member of a collaborator or a Fortune 500 CEO
- You have prior experience as a PA/EA to a founder, C-level or another senior executive leader (s) whose role is complex, challenging and fast-paced
- You have very strong communications skills
- Very high level of attention to detail

Your writing skills are really exceptional: you can distil complex topics into succinct messages, you’re a great storyteller and can help predict how others will receive the message
- Experience working with founder CEOs
- An interest in and appreciation of different countries and cultures
