The chosen candidate will be required to operate multiple PC D-mis and Zeiss CMM’s and carry out any Hard-Gauging requirements from the production line for multiple manufactured engine components. The operator will need to be proactive due to the frequency of inspection set by production and management changing daily. It is the job of the CMM Operator to ensure that the inspection is carried out in a timely manner, escalating any issues or concerns found to production and engineering.
The Role:
- To deliver the inspection for the various manufactured components in a timely manner, as set by engineering.
- To help towards the continuous improvement / 5S activity implemented in the department.
- Maintain a flexible approach to assist with workload as & when required.
- Liaise with production and engineering to resolve any non-conformances found when carrying out the CMM Inspection.
- Support a safe working environment, considering company procedure and current legislation.
- Consider the health and safety, environmental and energy impact of all activities.
- Support the Company’s compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, following policy and best practice.
Candidate Profile:
- Flexible.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel essential).
- Positive in their approach and willing to work as part of an integrated team.
- Experienced within a manufacturing background.
- Logical in their approach to problem solving.
- Willing to learn.
Desirable:
- CMM operating experience
- Experience handling measuring equipment.
- Experience within a Metrology background.
- Understanding of engineering drawings.
- Understanding of GD&T.
- Apprenticeship within Engineering.
