What’s the role all about?
As an Intern - Assistant Project Manager you will develop the skills and knowledge necessary to progress to becoming a competent Project Manager. You will get practical experience on:
- Managing the successful delivery of projects from award to final account so that they are delivered safely, within budget, on programme and in accordance with the contract specification
- How to develop and implement a project execution plan that protects William Hare's commercial position, maximizing the financial return whilst meeting the clients overall requirements and ensuring opportunities for repeat business.
- Liaising and working cross functionally with other departments to ensure all actions are completed in line with the project plan in terms of time, cost and quality
What are we looking for?
- Minimum Level 4 qualification in a relevant subject.
- A-C GCSE in maths and English.
- An appreciation of CAD and an ability to red technical drawings
- Be able to manage, monitor and interpret the contract design documents supplied by the client or architect
- Effectively communicate with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers and surveyors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress
- Be able to liaise with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project
- Willingness to complete and successfully pass the appropriate construction site qualifications and respective site Induction
Contract length: 12 months
Salary: £18,800.00 per year
